Mining calculator
Would a machine earn more than its power costs? Pick one or type your own numbers. Today's difficulty, price and fees come from our node.
At $0.08 per kWh, an Antminer S21 earns about $7.87 a day and spends $6.72 on power: about $1.15 a day left, before the cost of the machine.
Mining alone, it would find a block about once every 90 years. A pool turns that into a small, steady share.
Using a difficulty of 132.72 T, 3.157 BTC per block (new coins plus the recent average in fees) and bitcoin at $82,284.
How it works, and what it leaves out
A block takes, on average, difficulty × 2³² guesses. So a machine making H guesses a second finds H × 86,400 ÷ (difficulty × 2³²) blocks a day, almost always a tiny fraction of one. Times the bitcoin a block pays and the price, that is its income. Power is watts ÷ 1,000 × 24 hours × the price of a kWh.
Difficulty tends to rise as more machines join, so the same machine earns less over time. The next halving cuts the new coins per block in half. Pools take a fee, cooling and repairs cost money, and the price of bitcoin moves. It's an estimate for today, not a promise.
